In Tune with Nature & People
Martina loves nature and spends every free minute outdoors with her boys Tobias, Laurin and Arian. She knows the best tips for active families and has a wonderful sense for creating feel-good moments at the Stubaierhof.

Host & Mountain Rescuer with Passion
Being a host runs in Daniel’s blood – he learned early on from his grandparents, both at the hotel and on the mountain hut. Alongside countless alpine adventures, he accompanied his father Franz on rescue missions – experiences that inspired him to train as a mountain hiking guide, mountain rescuer and emergency paramedic. Since 2005, he’s also been working as an air rescue paramedic with ÖAMTC.

Mountain Lover & Mood Lifter
Having grown up at the Innsbrucker Hütte, Andreas knows the Stubai mountains like the back of his hand – including those hidden gems he’s always happy to share with guests. Whether in the kitchen, at the reception or out on the trail – with Andreas, there’s never a dull moment!

The Early Days
After the war, Theresia and Heinrich Hofer took over the Innsbrucker Hütte together with their children. From 1964 onwards, the Hofer-Fankhauser family also managed the Franz Senn Hütte.
Hut Handover
Johanna, who grew up at the Nürnberger Hütte, and Josef Hofer took over the Innsbrucker Hütte at a young age, while Josef’s parents continued to run the Franz Senn Hütte.
Sportpension
In 1972, the Sportpension Hofer was built in Neustift. It initially served as a boarding house for the Neustift Ski Secondary School and as a summer base for the Kneissl Racing Camp.
Stubaierhof
On December 9th, 1977, Hotel Der Stubaierhof – which had grown from the former Sportpension Hofer – was officially opened. In 1982, the hotel was expanded to accommodate 75 guests.
Mountain Hut
Marlene and Franz took over the Innsbrucker Hütte, which they had previously run together with Josef and Johanna. For over 60 years now, our family has been welcoming guests with heartfelt hospitality at the foot of the Habicht.
Major Renovation
All three generations of the Egger & Hofer families came together to carry out a major renovation – with a focus on modern comforts and first-class service, always in tune with the times.
New Rooms
In 2017, the rooms in the “Gamsplatzl” and “Goldsuttn” categories were fully modernised. Since then, they’ve been winning guests over with elegant wooden floors, stylish furnishings and a guaranteed feel-good atmosphere.
Wooden Gams
Right in front of the hotel, surrounded by greenery, the “Gamssteigl” activity trail comes to life. With multiple exercise stations and a giant wooden Gams, it’s the perfect place to find your balance.
Sepp & Hannis
The time has come: after much thought, tinkering and planning, “Sepp & Hanni’s – Village Suites” is taking shape right in the centre of Neustift.
We’re excited to present our serviced apartments with that special something – charming, comfortable and good all around.
Gams'ln at Work
Family textile sauna, Café and Josefstube restaurants, barrier-free “Herzeben” suite, “Gamsoben” suite and much more.
From 2020 to 2023, our 'Gams'ln' were hard at work making it all happen.
